On November 14-th, 2024, the College of Graduate Studies (CGS), Walailak University (WU), hosted a Scholarship Contract Signing event for graduate students who have been awarded scholarships for Semester 2, Academic Year 2024. The event took place in Meeting Room 1 (SPARK), on the 1-st floor of Academic Building 1 at Walailak University.
Associate Professor Dr. Mullica Jaroensuthasinee, Vice President of Walailak University and Chairperson of the Scholarship Allocation Committee for Graduate Students, prepared a congratulatory video message for the 28 scholarship recipients this semester. These recipients include 21 Ph.D. students and 7 Master’s students, under three scholarship categories:
Funded Scholarships (Tuition Fee Waiver with Monthly Allowances) for Ph.D. students
Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarships for Ph.D. students
Tuition Fee Waiver Scholarships for Master’s students
Following the Vice President’s message, Associate Professor Dr. Phongpichit Channuie, Dean of CGS, also congratulated the students and reinforced the university’s commitment to high-quality graduate education, emphasizing the importance of producing research published in reputable journals.
After the speeches, staff from the CGS presented the key terms and conditions of the scholarship contracts to ensure that recipients fully understood the commitments involved. An open forum was then held, allowing students and their academic advisors to ask questions and share suggestions, ensuring clarity before signing the contracts. Finally, the event introduced the scholarship coordinators, who will serve as points of contact for any further inquiries.
