On Friday, 15 May 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Moklan Room, 3rd Floor, Professor Dr. Wichit Srisa-an Building, Walailak University, Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, welcomed a delegation of 7 executives and faculty members from Surindra Rajabhat University, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Chalong Sukthong, President of Surindra Rajabhat University, on the occasion of a study visit focused on academic journal management in science and technology, as well as on revenue management for academic journals. 

The visit aimed to foster academic collaboration and the exchange of experience in journal management between the two institutions, with an emphasis on elevating journal quality to international standards and enhancing the efficiency of academic publishing processes.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof.  Dr. Mullica Jaroensutasinee, Vice President for Academic Affairs for Science and Technology at Walailak University, delivered a special talk on “Research Management Policy at Walailak University,” sharing the university’s policy directions and strategies to advance research comprehensively.

Subsequently, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phongpichit Channuie, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Editor-in-Chief of Trends in Sciences (TiS) and Trends in Routine to Research (TR2R), presented and led a discussion on “Academic Journal Management at Walailak University and the Trends in Sciences Journal,” covering operational strategies, journal management systems, and pathways to advance journals into international databases. This was followed by an open knowledge-exchange session.

This activity marks a significant step toward strengthening collaboration between Walailak University and Surindra Rajabhat University, collectively driving the development and advancement of Thai academic journals toward greater strength and sustained international recognition.
