College of Graduate Studies Organizes Human Research Ethics Training in Collaboration with Research and Innovation Institute of Excellence

On February 20, 2026, the College of Graduate Studies (CGS), in collaboration with the Research and Innovation Institute of Excellence (RIIE), organized a Human Research Ethics Training Workshop at the Phattharathammaphorn Conference Room, Walailak University Hospital, Walailak University. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, who emphasized the critical role of ethical standards in research involving human participants and the institution’s commitment to advancing research excellence at the international level.

The workshop aimed to strengthen knowledge and understanding of ethical principles, regulatory frameworks, and best practices in conducting human subject research. A total of 100 participants attended the training, including 30 graduate students and 70 faculty members.

This initiative reflects the College’s strategic mission to enhance research quality and promote internationalization. The training was conducted in English to support global research communication skills and to prepare participants for international collaboration, publication, and compliance with global ethical standards. The program also reinforced the shared vision between the College of Graduate Studies and the Research and Innovation Institute of Excellence in advancing research capacity toward international excellence.

Participants actively engaged in discussions on research integrity, informed consent procedures, ethical review processes, and internationally recognized ethical guidelines. The workshop provided practical insights to ensure that research projects meet both national and international requirements.
