January 23, 2026 – Executives and staff from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) visited Walailak University (WU) today for a study visit to exchange knowledge on academic journal operations and strengthen academic networks.

The event began at 9:00 AM in the Moklan Room on the 3rd Floor of the Prof. Dr. Wichit Srisa-an Building. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phongpichit Channuie, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies at Walailak University, delivered the welcome address to the 18-member delegation. After that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anuwat Jangwanitlert, Vice President for Academic Affairs at KMITL, gave a speech marking the occasion of the visit.

The morning session focused on best practices in journal management, featuring key presentations: Journal Management at Walailak University, a case study of Trends in Sciences by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phongpichit Channuie; Management of the Asian Journal of Arts and Culture (AJAC) by Asst.Prof.Dr. Thanaphas Dejpawuttikul, Editor-in-Chief of AJAC; and Management of Current Applied Science and Technology (CAST) by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dusanee Thanaboripat, Editor-in-Chief of CAST.

In the afternoon, the discussion continued with a presentation titled “The Management of Asia Social Issues (ASI)” by Mrs. Opal Nil-art, Managing Editor of ASI. This was followed by an overview of “Academic Journal Management at the Office of Academic Journal Administration, KMITL,” presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anuwat Jangwanitlert.

The visit ended with a tour of the Sirin Museum at Walailak University, fostering a spirit of learning and collaboration between these two prestigious institutions.
