The College of Graduate Studies (CGS) at Walailak University (WU) successfully hosted an inspiring and skill-enriching workshop titled “Turning Science into Arts: Designing Engaging Poster for Scientific Presentations” on March 30, 2025, at the Khao Luang Chamber, Cooperative Education Building, Walailak University.

The event was officially opened with a warm welcome from Assoc.Prof.Dr.Phongpichit Channuie, Dean of the CGS, who emphasized the importance of effective science communication for postgraduate researchers.

We were honored to welcome Assoc.Prof.Dr.Theerapong Puangmali from the Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University, as the distinguished guest speaker. His dynamic and engaging presentation, combined with his deep expertise, offered participants valuable insights into the art of designing impactful and visually engaging scientific posters.

Conducted entirely in English, the workshop was designed to be accessible to both Thai and international students, aligning with Walailak University’s strong commitment to internationalization and inclusive education.

Throughout the session, participants explored practical design strategies using PowerPoint and AI-powered tools, gaining the skills necessary to transform complex research concepts into clear, attractive, and professional visual presentations.

A total of 22 post-graduate students took part in this hands-on session, leaving with newfound confidence and inspiration to enhance their research communication through creative poster design.
