The College of Graduate Studies (CGS) at Walailak University (WU) organized an orientation for new graduate students enrolled in the first semester of the academic year 2024 (Semester 1/2024). The event took place at the Suniphon Meeting Room, 1st Floor, Academic Building 9, Walailak University, and was also accessible via Zoom Cloud Meeting.

The orientation was conducted bilingually, with a focus on English, to accommodate both Thai and international students enrolled in Thai and international programs. The program began with a video presentation introducing the university, followed by a welcome address from Associate Professor Dr. Phongpichit Channuie, Dean of CGS, who delivered a congratulatory message and shared his vision with the new students.

Dr. Somruethai Bouyam, a CGS Officer, then introduced the roles and responsibilities of CGS, highlighting the staff members students will need to contact for various academic processes and guidance on creating study plans.

Key support units also participated in the orientation to provide essential information to the students. The Center for Educational Services (CES) introduced the registration system, represented by Miss Thanyalak Pansimai (CES Officer) and translated to English by Miss Supansa Kaewjaijong (CGS Academic Staff). Miss Aparn Chaisuwan and Miss Kittiporn Sriphet from the Center for Library Resources and Educational Media (CLM) presented library resources, databases, and how to access additional resources. Mr. Wisit Reungprom from the Center for Digital Technology (CDT) introduced digital services such as network services and email.

The session concluded with an opportunity for new students to introduce themselves, fostering a sense of community as they embark on their graduate studies at WU.
