Editor-in-Chief of ASI attended the "Policy, Achievement, and Award Ceremony for Outstanding Performance Journals in the TCI-TSRI-Scopus Collaboration Project"

Asia Social Issues (ASI) has been selected as one of the Thai journals to be submitted for consideration for inclusion in Scopus 2023 – 2026. Thus, Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriporn Somboonboorana, Editor-in-Chief of Asia Social Issues, and Mrs. Opor Ninlaart, Manager of Asia Social Issues (ASI), have been invited to attend the “Policy, Achievement, and Award Ceremony for Outstanding Performance Journals in the TCI-TSRI-Scopus Collaboration Project” at The Phayathai 3-4 Rooms, Level 6, Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok, Thailand. The event was organized by Thai Journal Citation Index Center (TCI), Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy Institute (STIPI) of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in collaboration with the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC) and the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC). In this seminar, Prof. Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop shared the TCI-TSRI-Scopus Collaboration Project: background, achievements, and impact on Thailand. Then, Prof. Emeritus Soottiporn Chittmittrapap, Chairman, National Commission on Science, Research and Innovation Promotion, gave opening remarks and a special talk on the promotion policy of the national science, research, and innovation and guidelines to enhance Thai journal quality. They also presented the TCI-TSRI Journal Award to the journal editors. The award included a cash prize of 300,000 Baht. There were 8 outstanding journals that demonstrated exceptional productivity and performance during the project period between 2020 and 2022.

The awards were divided into three categories:
1) Most Improved Percentile Award
2) High Citation Award
3) TCI Popularity Award.
