On March 15th, 2023, the editorial teams from Walailak University, which included the Asian Journal of Arts and Culture, Asia Social Issues, and Trends in Science, attended the 14th Symposium for Thai Journal Development Network at the Royal Jubilee Ballroom, IMPACT Challenger Building 2, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Thailand. The symposium was organized by the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), in collaboration with Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC), and Elsevier. During the symposium, Prof. Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop, the Head of Thai Journal Citation Index Center, delivered the introductory remarks. The symposium aimed to present Thailand’s research output data analysis system, ThaiRAP, along with the project’s process, results, and lessons learned, to improve the quality of Thai journals in the Scopus database. It also aimed to present journal management using the Thailand Editorial System (ThaiES) and draft the 5th round of the TCI Journal Selection Criteria between 2025 and 2029. Moreover, the meeting aimed to develop and strengthen the network of journal editors to enhance the effectiveness of improving the quality of Thai journals.
