On 12 April 2022, the College of Graduate Studies (CGS), Walailak University (WU) organized the ceremony of bathing the Buddha at the CGS’s office, 3^rd floor, red zone, Architecture and Design Building.

Songkran Festival is the beginning of “Thai New Year”. Thai people celebrating the Songkran by pouring of water. They also do bathing the Buddha during Songkran Festival by pouring water over the statue of Buddha in their home and temple. The Songkran Festival in this 2022 was at 13 – 15 April 2022 (a national holidays).

On the occasion of Songkran Festival, all CGS members met together at the CGS office on 12 April 2022 at 11:30 AM to celebrate the ceremony of bathing the Buddha by pouring the water through the Buddha statue that regularly placed at the office.

The ceremony was begun by the dean of CGS started to pouring the Buddha as the first one following by the CGS members. Additionally, we also watering to the seniors in our office.
