On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the Scholarly Publishing and Repository Integration Center, Walailak University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phongpichit Channuie, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Trends in Sciences (TiS), and Asst. Prof. Dr. Thanapas Dejpawuttikul, Editor-in-Chief of the Asian Journal of Arts and Cultures (AJAC), together with the editorial teams of the AJAC, ASI, and TiS journals, attended the meeting on “Quality Improvement of Thai Journals for Indexing in Scopus, and Ethics and Publishing Standards Capacity Enhancement for TCI-Indexed Journal Editors,” held at Century Park Hotel Bangkok. More than 150 editors and members from the TCI-TSRI-Scopus Project took part.

The meeting focused on advancing Thai journal standards through several key sessions. A special lecture and brainstorming discussion on “CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) and Promoting Ethics and Standards in Research Publication” explored ways to foster greater transparency in Thailand’s research processes. Participants also received updates on the new project proposal for “Developing Thai Journals for Indexing in the Scopus Database,” a summary of outcomes from the Scopus Subject Chairs meeting in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a progress report on the Quality Improvement of Thai Journals for Indexing in Scopus project (2023–2026).

The delegation’s participation reflects the shared commitment of the editorial boards of AJAC, ASI, and TiS to strengthening journal management processes in line with international standards, transparency, and publication ethics — furthering Walailak University’s goal of elevating its research output for international recognition.
