On 7 August 2026, a delegation from the College of Graduate Studies, Walailak University (CGS), paid a study visit to the Graduate School of Khon Kaen University (GSKKU) in Khon Kaen, Thailand.

The delegation was led by Assoc Prof Dr Phongpichit Channuie, Dean of CGS, and included Assoc Prof Dr Apirak Payaka, Acting Vice Dean; Asst Prof Dr Wachiraporn Poungjinda, Assistant Dean for International Affairs; Asst Prof Dr Darunee Bunkrong, Assistant Dean for Chinese Strategic Graduate Studies and Educational Cooperation; together with CGS officers.

CGS and GSKKU discussed and shared experience on graduate curriculum development and management, admission and student service systems, educational quality assurance, and academic staff development.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Prof Dr Kiatichai Faksri, Acting Dean of the GSKKU; Dr Wittika Tangchan, Acting Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovation; Asst Prof Dr Jutarop Petchaburanin, Acting Associate Dean for Integrative Research and Graduate Studies Affairs; together with GSKKU department heads and personnel.

CGS hopes the visit will strengthen the College’s academic capacity, its educational quality, and bring CGS closer to international standards.
