On Wednesday, August 6, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the meeting room AD3411, Red Zone, 3rd Floor, Architecture and Design Laboratory Building, Walailak University, the Center for Digital Journal Management and Multidisciplinary Academic Platform (DJMP) welcomed a delegation of administrators and staff from the Maritime Technology and Research (MTR) journal, Faculty of International Maritime Studies, Kasetsart University, Sriracha Campus, for a study visit and knowledge exchange on the management of international academic journals.

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phongpichit Channuie, Dean of the College of Graduate Studies, Walailak University, welcomed the delegation and presented on “An Overview of Academic Journal Management at Walailak University and the Trends in Sciences Journal.” Professor Dr. Cherdvong Saengsupavanich, Editor-in-Chief of MTR, then presented on “An Overview of Maritime Technology and Research Journal Management.” The visit closed with an open discussion, where both teams shared experiences and answered questions casually.

In addition, the two institutions engaged in discussions and reached agreement on future collaboration in the advancement of journal management, with the objectives of establishing an academic network, exchanging best practices, and jointly elevating the standard of Thai academic journal management to meet international benchmarks on a sustainable basis. In the afternoon, the delegation participated in a campus tour of Walailak University and visited the Sirin Museum.
