Doctor of Philosophy Program in Drug and Cosmetic Innovation focuses on the development of PhD students with profound knowledge. They will have the skill and ability to link knowledge and technology in pharmaceutical and related scientific context. These could improve them to be a highly potential researcher with competence in drug and cosmetics. The students choose the appropriate advanced technology for creating innovations in drug and cosmetics. These will increase the competitiveness in order to promote the manufacture and service of pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. The program also raises research work to commercial and social applications and encourages good sense of morality and ethics.

Desirable Characteristics of the Course

Our curriculum focuses on the research expertise based on a dissertation relating to an emerging research in the drug development process and cosmetic sciences. The PhD curriculum provides the scientific training to support student’s research dissertation through the seminars and intensive research-based courses. These courses place a strong emphasis on advanced research methodology to archive innovation or novel knowledge under the supervision of the expert advisory committee.

  1. Applicants from a country where English is not the first language must enclose English proficiency test result. The result must not be more than two years. The following English proficiency tests are accepted for graduate admission, and a minimum score should be as follows: TOEFL (Paper Based) 500 or TOEFL (Computer Based) 173 or TOEFL (Internet Based) 61 or IELTS (Academic Module) 6.0.

Walailak University has agreed to award the Tuition Fee Waiver: approximately 9,600 USD (300,000 THB) each year for Thai students and 12,000 USD (375,000 THB) each year for the international students. Successful candidates are responsible for accommodation, transportation and living expenses.
