Admission Requirements

Applicants must meet the qualifications outlined in Walailak University’s Regulations for Graduate Studies, Semester System (Biateral System), 2022 as follows:

For types 1.1 and types 2.1

  • You must have completed a master’s degree or the equivalent in science or another related field. You could also be studying in your last semester of a master’s degree program or the equivalent in science or another related field.
  • You must have a cumulative grade point average throughout their master’s degree studies of at least 3.50 or equivalent or have at least one research paper published in a journal accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), or have other qualifications as approved by the graduate program committee of the program. 

For types 1.2 and 2.2

  • You must have a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in science or another related field. You could also be studying in your last semester of a bachelor’s degree program or the equivalent in science or another related field.
  • You must have a cumulative grade point average throughout their bachelor’s degree studies of at least 3.00 or equivalent or have at least one research paper published in a journal accredited by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), or have other qualifications as approved by the graduate program committee of the program.

Applicants must meet the English proficiency test score requirements set by the committee of the College of Graduate Studies. 

Tuition Fees

  • 150,000 THB. per semester for Thai student
  • 187,500 THB. per semester for International student

Graduation Requirements

Following Walailak University’s Regulations for Graduate Studies, Semester System (Biateral System), 2022:

  • Passed the qualifying examination.
  • Passed all courses in the curriculum.
  • Type 2 students must have a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.00.
  • Passed the thesis defense examination and already submitted the completed thesis to the university.
  • Published paper(s), or at least accepted for publication in an international journal.
