Master of Science Program in Agriculture and Food Science
Master of Science Program in Agriculture and Food Science is a curriculum that focuses on producing master’s graduates with knowledge and understanding of the process of creating and applying new knowledge in agriculture and food science to develop the country in response to national strategy and Thailand’s goals industrial by producing graduates to support the progress of the agriculture and food industries, needs to prepare graduates in accordance with the needs of the country. This curriculum integrates knowledge between interdisciplinary areas to graduates gain understanding of the process of creating and applying new knowledge for use in developing the country’s agricultural and food sectors. This program aims to produce graduates with specific skills to understand the process of creating and applying knowledge to solve problems in agriculture and the food industry thoroughly, as well as being able to study, research, and learn on their own continuously. Students can conduct themselves according to Walailak University’s policy regarding the Educational Guidelines for Students in Thesis, Project and Independent Study programs European Model 2018, and students can develop research to solve agricultural and food problems at the national or international level, including focusing on producing graduates with morality, ethics, and professional ethics, and has working and communication skills, knowing how to live happily in society.
- This is an integrated course in both agricultural production and processing to add value to agricultural products at the industrial level.
- The teaching and learning process follow the UKPSF framework that focuses on the development of students’ skills in analytical and synthetic thinking, as well as the ability to conduct independent research, with a system to closely and regularly track the progress of thesis work. This ensures that students can complete their studies within the specified time period.
- Lecturers and personnel are highly qualified, have specialized knowledge, and cooperate with external networks, including both public and private agencies within and beyond the country.

Admission Requirements
Applicants must meet the qualifications outlined in Walailak University’s Regulations for Graduate Studies, Semester System (Biateral System), 2022 as follows:
- Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Agro-Industry, Food Technology, Food Science and Technology, Biotechnology Science, Agricultural Science, or equivalence in a related field from a university or higher education institution accredited by the University Council or approved by the Graduate Committee of the program. The bachelor program must be approved by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC), or the applicants must be a bachelor student or equivalence in the last semester in the mentioned fields at a university or higher education institution accredited by the University Council. The curriculum must be approved by the Office of the Higher Education Commission (OHEC).

Graduation Requirements
Following Walailak University’s Regulations for Graduate Studies, Semester System (Biateral System), 2022:
- Passed the English proficiency test score requirements set by the committee of the College of Graduate Studies.
- Passed all courses in the curriculum.
- Plan A Type A2 students must have a cumulative grade point average of not less than 3.00.
- Passed the thesis defense examination and already submitted the completed thesis to the university.
- The thesis or a part of the thesis must be published or at least accepted for publication according to the criteria set by the Graduate Studies Committee.
